During
the process of acoustic research Emes has developed a unique Impulse
Response database with more than 300 different Room-Models, all
based on a very unique "virtual rendering" process.
All resulting Impulse Response Files are carefully processed, edited,
categorized and finally stored as 192kHz/24Bit and resampled 44.1kHz/16
Bit Audio-Files (WAV and AIFF).
Available on a single CD (44.1kHz/16Bit) or double CD (192kHz/24Bit
+44.1kHz/16Bit) -can be used with all Convolution Reverb Plug-Ins
which support WAV and AIFF import - see list below!
Specialized
CAD Programs which we use in our Monitoring developement process,
allow us to construct "virtually" any geometric construction
- from very small simple vector items to very large and complex
structured Spline based architecture Models.
All rooms were designed as 3D "NET"-Models
first, than each surface was given it's own set of acoustic coefficents
like - Absorbtion, Reflection, Material (Weight, Grain, Damping,
etc...).
In this given scenario we implement the Signal-Source and at last
we define the Pick-Up configuration and there relative positioning.
With all these thausands of parameters, a calculation can somtimes
take up to 5 hours for a single 8 Second Stereo Impuse Response-File
(192kHz/24Bit)! (Dual Opteron PC)
There are some very nice benefits about virtually computed IR's
compared to real recorded ones like:

quality - hear for yourself - download the free IR-Files below
or listen to the "demo-tracks"

we eliminate nearly all sonic damages caused by a conventional
electronic signal path!
(Impulse-generating,
-amplification, -play back (normally a Speaker System),- pick
up and -storage)

no disturbing backround noise

taking all sorts of Signal Source positions and Pick-up configurations!
-
until we have found the best performing ones -

creating "Spaces" which do not yet exist!

modifying and tuning models to different acoustic behaviours

Each file has been categorized
and is spezified in the CD- booklet (see below)
